The first one details some of the events I talked about.

The Obama administration and the Pentagon are under considerable pressure to get Iran off the sh*t list because Russia in now the main target. Now that Russia is also under sanctions it is free to ignore the sanctions against Iran and sell them what ever they want in the way of defence technology or nuclear power technology – or anything else the Iranians have the money to pay for. Check these sites.

The most interesting part of this article is the mention of the oil and gas companies that want to get into the Iranian market including Russian’s Lukoil and GazpromNeft. They will end up being the only ones to get into that market if the western sanctions aren’t lifted.

You can’t follow the news very well if you don’t check out rt.com and http://russia-insider.com/en/2015/03/26/5030 regularly. It seems now like it’s the west that is hopelessly insular.

One of the gravest stupidity (or is it arrogance?) of westerners to be convinced that other civilizations are sharing their own value system, act on identical levers. This already was source of death of millions. Your learned output is worthless as a contribution.

You might like to consult Bolton in today’s NYT for it:

Yesterday, the world’s largest oil-field services company, has agreed to pay $232.7 million for violating U.S. sanctions in Iran and Sudan.

Although U.S. sanctions against Iran and Sudan have been in place for two decades, Schlumberger could legally operate in the two countries under certain circumstances because the company is registered in the Caribbean, not the U.S. Would it not be easier and more ‘American’ to allow business and get rid of very silly sanctions?

Iran is one of the most modern countries in the Middle East – with a real potential to achieve a democracy unlike its neighbors. Sanctions and obtuse American – not European – policies have ensured that the Iranian conservatives would have the edge over the pragmatists. Iran has not pursued any real military nuclear development since 2003 and it is nowhere near testing an n-bomb. I am fed up with the Israel stories – if Iran were to use a nuclear bomb, if it even got one, it would end up killing most of its allies in the region as well as harming itself. se common sense and don’t listen to Republican crazies

Your tone tells me I cannot accept your comments seriously. The “Islamic Republic” represses its own people, has been at (asymmetrical) war with the US since the Shah left, has lied to and stonewalled the IAEA (it is doing so right now), and, as a gesture of good faith, “attacked” a plywood “aircraft carrier” in the gulf a few weeks back. Their rhetoric is catastophist and supremacist, their chicanery, money and the IRGC have created enormous influence in 4 Arab capitals. They have vowed to wipe Israel off the map. And our agreement doesn’t even address their ICBM program.
From our side, we have negotiated with one hand tied behind our backs, refusing to even use the threat of military action to concentrate the minds of the mullahs. As Churchill said about Chamberlain, “you were given between war and dishonor. You chose dishonor, and you will have war”.
We are seeing Munich 2.0, a piece of paper substituted for protection from a crowd of rabid dog Islamists. Your acquiescence does you no honor.
