Seeing the border conflicts that china have i.e 14 border conflicts with all its neighbours, chances that china escalate the border conflict can never be ruled out. Due to energy requirements and the necesssity of karakoram highway, china will go to any extent to safeguards its interests.

Lol. Some people are ONLY for India’s interests, not the Chinese’s.

Author posits that all is well because China has all the levers of intimidation over India to secure its own interests. However, such a situation is in fact inherently unstable; no rising power such as India can accept subjugation over the long term–Indian interests must also be accommodated. Also, this analysis posits that Pak Occupied Kashmir will always remain occupied, whereas official Indian policy is that all of Kashmir must be returned to the motherland. It is true that the likelihood of full or limited war between China and India is small but it is not vanishingly small–but those reasons were not discussed by the author. The author does do a service in highlighting the geo-strategic importance of Aksai Chin for China. He does a poor job of the same for India. The author is understanding toward Chinese interests and hostile or ignorant, ignorant mostly of Indian interests.
