Bit more research needed for the Egyptian stance with regard to Morsi/Muslim brotherhood, though. The conclusions drawn from the Morsi experiment are far too benign. The person Morsi was totally controlled by the Muslim brotherhood which was and is, totally at odds with any world precept of peace and order, through its wanton ideology that anything that is not obtained through struggle (jihad), is not worth considering as worthy thought, Hassan Al-Banna and Sayid Qutb’s own words. If the Morsi experiment would have been allowed to continue much longer, Egypt would have again descended into revolution and long periods of anarchy. The West would do well to study the Egyptian soul which is yearning for somewhat more positive Western recognition, which seems to be lacking reality through its one sided view of the situation, (intentionally?) before the Russian Bear grabs the initiative again. We should perhaps temper our obsession with human rights and Western libertine thinking with “oriental reality” and understanding.
