Summary

Recent mapping from the National Drought Mitigation Center paints a bleak picture for California: the entire state is currently experiencing some degree of drought conditions. What’s more, these water shortages are not only coming on the heels of a years-long drought in the 2010s, but are also more pronounced than previous instances, leading to renewed consternation among the state’s farmers and widespread fear of the wildfire season to come.
